The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer with a strong Back End focus to join our Technology and Data Team working with one of our end clients. You will play a critical role in strengthening our core validation portal and associated platforms, making sure they are secure, scalable and resilient. Alongside building new functionality you will help stabilise existing services, reduce technical debt and embed quality practices.
Skills and Experience
* Expert knowledge of Back End development with Python, Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks
* Experience with Front End technologies including React
* Strong experience deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
* Proficiency in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
* Demonstrated ability to implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, regression)
* Knowledge of security best practice, role and permission management, and data protection
* Experience optimising performance and scalability for enterprise applications
* Strong DevOps capability including CI/CD pipelines, automation and monitoring
* Ability to mentor junior developers and collaborate across cross-functional teams
Personal Attributes
* Interest or prior experience in sustainability-focused organisations
* Comfortable balancing new feature delivery with stability and support needs
* Familiarity with agile ways of working and tools such as Asana or Jira
* Strong communicator who documents clearly and shares knowledge effectively
* Proactive, collaborative and resilient in fast-moving evolving environments
* Senior-level developer with 6+ years of experience including work in early-stage or scaling teams
