Towcester Medical Centre is seeking 2 part time or 1 full time General Practitioner to join our supportive, forward-thinking team. We are a well-established practice with a strong emphasis on high-quality patient care, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will provide high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a supportive and inclusive multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities and features of the role include:
Undertaking 12 15-minute patient appointments per session
Working collaboratively with GP partners and the wider practice team, including attendance at practice meetings
Participation in a daily morning coffee meeting, supporting communication and team cohesion
Sessions delivered between 08:45 and 18:30, with flexibility around finish times
Acting as Clinician of the Day (COD) on a rotational basis, supporting triage within a full total triage system and strong team-working framework
Benefit from 6 weeks annual leave, plus 1 week study leave (pro-rata)

The practice serves a list of just over 11,700 patients and is supported by 5 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, an experienced nursing team of 3 (including 2 HCAs), a branch dispensary, and a strong administrative team. This provides a solid foundation for delivering high-quality patient care.

Job responsibilities
We are looking for a GP who is able to fulfil all aspects of day-to-day general practice.
This will include acting as Clinician of the Day (COD) and managing the total triage system, as well as supervising GP registrars and students, and providing supervision and advice to our wide and varied multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing their own patient list, supporting the practice in meeting QOF targets, keeping medication reviews up to date, and managing tasks and results in line with practice policy in an efficient and organised manner.

* Knowledge of Optum (EMIS) Clinical System

Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
