Primary SEND Teacher – East Birmingham A well-resourced and welcoming special school in East Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to join their team. The school supports primary-aged pupils with a range of complex learning needs including Autism, MLD, communication differences and sensory needs. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about nurturing progress, building confidence and helping every child thrive. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the needs of individual learners. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider school staff. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, supporting emotional regulation and communication. Create a safe, engaging and structured learning environment. Track pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting. Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external professionals. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience teaching in SEND settings, or a strong desire to transition into SEND. Adaptable, nurturing and child-centred teaching approach. Understanding of Autism, communication needs and regulation strategies. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
