We are currently seeking a Transport Planner & Operations Support to join our Eventor F1 team at our Appleton Thorn site.
As Transport Planner & Operations Support, you will provide a plan that deploys the allocated resource pool effectively, ensuring compliance with all legal obligations regarding WTD and EU Drivers Legislation.
You will maintain the Customer Service requirements of work allocated to the resource pool, working to understand how to improve and maintain agreed customer and business KPI targets.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 5 from 7, 8 am to 5 pm (usually Monday to Friday), with some flexibility. It offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a market leader.
Job responsibilities include:
* Supporting Transport Manager’s daily/weekly tasks through operation compliance administration.
* Ensuring GTS housekeeping is completed consistently.
* Completing depot logs by the specified time.
* Inputting trailer numbers promptly.
* Monitoring and reporting empty legs for shifts.
* Monitoring Time lapse and Restricted parking reports timely.
* Completing Microlise debriefs on time.
* Reporting Microlise errors to the central team.
* Checking resource availability for shifts.
* Monitoring and reporting WTD issues to the Operations team.
* Maintaining ongoing verbal communication with the driving team to support Microlise use.
* Ensuring clear daily communication between shifts using the handover document.
* Using the ‘n’ function to maximize resources during traffic lows.
* Managing drivers' hours according to customer requirements and volume demand.
* Achieving targets related to utilization, loaded, and empty legs.
* Managing traffic flows and monitoring TLC customers as communicated by Team Leaders.
Supporting Customer Performance by:
* Reviewing allocated customers to ensure work is planned correctly.
* Communicating with ESL Customer Services and Drivers to meet KPIs.
* Completing weekly Benefits and Concerns reports.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of WTD and EU Drivers Hours (core requirement).
* CPC National Qualification (not mandatory).
* Experience with GTS, Microlise, MyFleet, and Myworkforce.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
