Role
As a Business Development Manager at Lambert, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across our full service portfolio. Acting as a trusted advisor to our customers, you'll identify, develop and convert new opportunities while nurturing long‑term strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
* Building trusted, strategic relationships with customers at all levels
* Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities
* Creating winning sales strategies and leading tenders from initial engagement to close
* Developing and managing strategic Key Account plans
* Acting as the commercial lead during project implementation phases
* Networking with strategic suppliers to gather market intelligence
* Leading targeted sales campaigns and supporting wider sales team initiatives
* Managing commercial negotiations to maximise GP, cash flow and long‑term value
* Maintaining accurate, visible pipelines through effective CRM use
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven success in capital equipment, service or solution‑based sales
* High level of commercial and strategic sales awareness
* Strong background in customer relationship and key account management
* Experience presenting technical solutions and business value clearly
* Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team
* Engineering‑related degree or vocational qualification (HNC, HND, apprenticeship) – highly advantageous
* Excellent organisation, time management and presentation skills
* Strong negotiation capability with the drive to close complex sales
* Confident user of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
