As a Sales Assistant based in Luton, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
2. Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
3. Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
4. Assisting with general warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away in the warehouse which will involve manual handling of heavy items.
5. Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07:00-17:00 with 1hrs break. No weekend work required.

6. Prior industry or trade experience would be ideal.
7. Previous face to face customer service/sales experience is essential.
8. To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
9. Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
10. Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
11. To be comfortable lifting heavy items.
