The Best Connection Scotland is currently recruiting Class 2 (HGV) Drivers on behalf of our national client. This role involves delivering goods to residential addresses across the Central Belt.
You will work as part of a two-person delivery team, supported by an experienced driver's mate.
This is an ongoing opportunity, with flexibility for those seeking occasional or weekend shifts. Depots are based in the Glasgow area.
Working Hours
* 5 days over 7
* Start times: 07:00, 08:00, or 11:00
* Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
Key Responsibilities
* Loading goods onto the vehicle
* Delivering and unloading items at customer locations (including home deliveries)
* Ensuring safe handling of materials
* Maintaining cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
⚠️ Please note: This is a physically demanding role and requires a good level of fitness.
Requirements
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence (minimum 2 years' experience)
* Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Proven work history and references
* Strong customer service skills
* Good level of spoken and written English
* Willingness to complete paid online training
Pay Rates
* Monday to Friday: £14.70 per hour (first 8 hours)
* Overtime (after 8 hours): £22.05 per hour
* Saturday: £22.05 per hour
* Sunday: £29.40 per hour
