SANZA Teaching Agency are recruiting an SEN teaching assistant to support primary-aged pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour. The school is located in Dagenham.
As a teaching assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a diagnosis of Autism.
As a teaching assistant applying for this role, you will:
* Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to support emotional regulation.
* Adapt class work to suit individual needs and ability.
* Deliver targeted interventions.
* Assist pupils with navigating social elements of schools and promote friendships.
* Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to implement support.
About you:
* Must have previous experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour.
* Be confident with behaviour management strategies.
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Be patient, resilient, and able to use initiative.
* Have a genuine love for supporting the growth and development of young children with additional needs.
