If you're the kind of designer who thrives on pace, creativity, and spotting what's next, this could be the role for you.
What you'll be doing:
You'll take the lead on one of our biggest areas, specifically, you'll be driving the day dresses and tops ranges - both jersey and woven - with styles that span casual through to smart workwear.
What you'll do
* Lead the design process for day dresses and tops across both jersey and woven - covering casual, smart casual, and workwear.
* Get under the skin of your department: analyse sales, returns, and trade data, understand past performance, and stay fully aligned with the department strategy.
* Drive trend research and development, bringing fresh inspiration while reflecting trade messages and lessons learned.
* Build a deep understanding of the Sosandar customer, sourcing newness and design ideas that feel like a natural progression of our brand.
* Develop cohesive, balanced ranges that are commercially strong and fashion forward.
* Source and select on-trend fabrics that fit our brand identity and price points.
* Partner with suppliers, guiding them through development to secure high-quality samples.
* Work closely with the Buyer to react quickly to sales performance and inject newness that builds on bestsellers.
* Present confidently in planning meetings, selling in your designs and explaining your rationale clearly to the leadership team.
* Collaborate with the print team to select and develop prints that are balanced, commercial, and reactive.
* Play an active role in fit/buy sessions, ensuring each piece delivers a flattering fit for the Sosandar customer, informed by returns and feedback.
What we’re looking for

* Excellent trend knowledge - from catwalk to high street - with a sharp eye for emerging directions.
* A passion for working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, embracing change and driving improvements in how the Design team works.
* Strong CAD skills and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
