Randstad Education works with many Chelmsford primary schools to locate qualified, engaged, and motivated teachers (QTS) on a supply basis. You will be able to work on a daily basis, but this might lead to something more permanent in the future. You might be assigned to any of the Chelmsford schools.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPPLY TEACHER:
1. Make certain that you manage conduct successfully in whatever classes you've been requested to teach
2. Passing on relevant information promptly and effectively within the school
3. Adhering to the assigned cover work and encouraging students to engage in and complete it
4. Taking registers, covering form periods and a variety of lessons/subjects throughout the day
5. Creating a peaceful and effective learning environment for students
6. Dealing with any difficulties that may occur in a timely and professional manner
7. Make sure you arrive on time for the school you've registered for
8. Assuring that you are consistently available for bookings beginning at 7:00 a.m. on each day that you are available for work.
9. When covering that school, adhering to appropriate school regulations
REQUIREMENTS FROM AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
10. Teaching experience and qualifications - QTS is mandatory
11. Enhanced DBS on the update service (we can assist with applying for a new DBS if required)
12. Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
13. Able to reference your recent teaching work (must be able to provide 2 professional references)
14. Commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm
