Job Description: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay: Daily rate of £108.65 - £114.55

Overview:
ANZUK Education has an excellent working relationship with schools across South West London. One of our lovely Prep schools are looking for an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to become a part of their team!
We are on the hunt for a passionate and resilient TA who has experience working 1:1 with SEN students. If you have the gift of the gab to embrace challenging behaviour, build strong relationships, demonstrate persistence and work collaboratively with staff/parents then this role is right for you!
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant you will be:
Supporting a primary age student with SEN.
Provide a stable, caring and supportive learning environment
Aid the development of the child's social and emotional well-being
Assist in developing and implementing interventions to encourage learning
The School have said they would be able to facilitate a handover and induction into this role
It is extremely important for the applicant to be able to commit to this role longer term as the needs of the child means changing staff can be upsetting
You must have substantial SEN experience for this role due to the nature and number of individual needs to be catered for
Application requirements of a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
An Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through ANZUK
An up-to-date CV outlining employment covering the last two years
Have experience working with students in a voluntary or paid capacity
Knowledge in supporting students who have a combination of learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs
Although there is the possibility for this role to become permanent you will need to complete full registration with ANZUK initially
Ideal applicant will have SEN experience specifically with PDA and challenging behaviour.
