Purpose of Role
The role will be based within the school, reporting to the Head of Operations, and working closely with the Executive Dean, Director of Learning and Teaching, Senior Programme Directors, and other colleagues. The successful candidate will provide operational and administrative support to enhance student-facing events, activities, and the overall student experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Support student societies with administrative and operational tasks, including event organization, payments, invoicing, meeting support, and liaison with academic staff.
* Assist with student event management, including Welcome Week/Induction activities.
* Provide administrative support for student voice activities within the school.
* Help set up Canvas Induction and Discipline sites for academics.
* Clerk meetings such as Student and Staff Liaison Committees, Programme Boards, and other learning and teaching meetings.
* Coordinate student field trips and placements.
* Support academics involved in Disability coordination.
* Provide reports on programme and tutor lists.
* Maintain and update the school's student-facing webpages and SharePoint pages.
* Contribute ideas to the school management team to improve processes and student experiences.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support the student experience and the school's operational and strategic goals.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
* Effective team working skills.
* Literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to SCQF Level 5 or similar, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in a similar environment as described above.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
* Proactive and professional approach.
* Ability to work accurately and flexibly in a dynamic environment.
* Experience in delivering excellent customer service.
* Educated to SCQF Level 6 or equivalent qualification.
* Experience working in higher education administration.
* Knowledge of Banner Student Records system.
