A client within the Public Sector based in Soutjh is currently recruiting for a Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor to join their Repairs, Maintenance and Building Safety team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing repairs environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to provide technical expertise on all aspects of building maintenance under the direction of the Repairs & Maintenance Manager and Senior Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor, ensuring a customer-focused, right-first-time approach and maintaining quality and safety across both revenue and capital works. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Carrying out technical surveys of domestic housing stock and producing detailed scopes of work and drawings • Managing contracts from end to end, ensuring robust financial control and stakeholder liaison • Ensuring compliance with statutory housing standards, including HHSRS and Regulator of Social Housing consumer standards • Maintaining up-to-date computerised housing stock records • Contributing to energy performance strategies, including producing EPCs and supporting retrofit and decarbonisation projects • Liaising with contractors, customers and partners, and using a provided iPad to complete reports and documentation...
