Overview
Construction Manager – Based in Valduc, France (EPURE facility, Dijon) working on construction projects as part of the TEUTATES Programme. The programme delivers a combination of leading-edge X-Ray technology, explosive vessels, nuclear assembly operations and complex command & control systems, with delivery occurring in the UK and jointly with CEA-DAM. This position is based at the EPURE facility in Dijon, France, providing construction management and verification of installation for the build phase of the programme.
Responsibilities
* Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate construction work in line with the project delivery strategy.
* Provide technical construction expertise/advice throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide management and governance to maintain and promote high standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.
* Ensure the construction management standards, procedures and work instructions governing construction are followed.
* Ensure construction teams are appropriately organised and that key personnel are competent to undertake their roles.
* Ensure construction records are maintained to support commissioning and project handover activities.
* Responsible for task management, to meet professional standards, performance and integrity of the work and reporting information necessary to support the project and business objectives.
Who we are looking for / Qualifications
* Experience in operating in the build environment, with a proven track record in planning, managing and monitoring construction work.
* Hold an industry-standard construction/build environment qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 6, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent), aligned to their discipline/specialism.
* Demonstrate exceptional awareness and understanding of construction environment, safety and health regulations and legislation.
* Hold a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or NEBOSH Construction accreditation, or a suitable equivalent.
* Hold an appropriate industry-recognised safety card (e.g., CSCS Manager, CCNSG Safety Passport, or equivalent).
