Purpose:
To repair, maintain and develop production Mould Tools.
Main Duties:
* Support Safety Checks and Improvement activities as required.
* Carry out preventative maintenance according to schedule and documented procedure.
* Carry out repairs with the objective of preventing re-occurrence and improving tool robustness.
* Maintain tool work records and complete necessary Toolroom documentation.
* Support the improvement and maintenance of 5S standards.
* Carry out root cause analysis when appropriate to ensure robustness of corrective actions and repairs.
* Must have extensive mould tool experience and traditional bench-fitting skills.
* Repair and maintenance of hot runner systems.
* The role involves working a shift system, you must be willing to work shifts.
* Any other duties as requested by the business.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
* Must be a time served Toolmaker.
* City & Guilds Toolmaker and/or ONC Mechanical Engineering.
* Capability to work under own supervision.
* Strong background in injection mould tool manufacture & maintenance.
* Cross functional department working.
Desirable:
* Experienced automotive or similar high volume industry.
Working Hours
* 3 shift rotating pattern.
* Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am
* Fridays 6am-1pm /1pm-8pm / 8pm-3am
