Kennedys is looking for a Legal e‑Billing Assistant to join our Financial Operations team based in Chelmsford. The successful Legal e‑Billing Assistant will work as part of the Working Capital team, alongside the Cashier team, to provide a proactive e‑Billing and support service to the Firm including revenue assistance, bill production and dispatch.

Kennedys Finance team support the Firm globally producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal and external clients.
Our Finance team is made up of Financial Systems, Financial Control, Financial Planning and Reporting, Management Accountants, Working Capital & Legal Cashiers.
Our UK Finance team is based in Chelmsford and London and have a presence in eight global offices.
Required Experience
* Previous legal billing and or e‑Billing experience would be an advantage but not essential
* Knowledge of VAT
* Experience in Excel and finance systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist team members to provide a comprehensive e‑Billing service, providing administrative assistance as required
* Production of Work in Progress (WIP) reports as required
* Provide support in drafting e‑Bills as requested (in accordance with Client Service Level Agreements), ensuring completeness of billing information
* Reverse and reissue invoices as and when required.
* Collating e‑Billing rejections and submitting in excel form to the Partners and Fee Earners for review and potential appeal
* Submission of proformas to the various e‑Billing portals
