Special Needs Specialist – Full-time, daily supply starting as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for Special Needs Specialists who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working on a daily supply basis in Feltham and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in primary settings. Duties as Special Needs Specialist: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with EBD and other SEND needs Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to promote emotional wellbeing Support pupils in developing social and emotional regulation skills Assist with transitions, de-escalation and classroom routines Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and assessments Promote inclusion and a positive learning environment Ideal Special Needs Specialist: Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties Strong understanding of SEND and behaviour management strategies Relevant qualifications in education, psychology or child development (desirable) Calm, patient and resilient approach to challenging behaviour Excellent communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Why Step Teachers?
