Accounts Payable Assistant: Newtownabbey Area
Temporary (6-10 weeks) | Full-time | £14.36 - £15.38 per hour | Office-based
REED Accountancy is delighted to be working with a rapidly growing and internationally expanding business in the Newtownabbey area for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.
This business is an Industry leader, and the finance department is evolving and growing. They are seeking to appoint a capable Accounts Payable Assistant to support their team on a temporary basis in the processing of high-volume invoices.
Role Responsibilities:
* Process purchase orders and purchase invoices onto accounting system
* Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring adherence to internal controls and deadlines
* Review and approve invoice coding and payment batches
* Ensure all transactions comply with company policies
* Liaise with Suppliers to resolve any invoice related issues or queries
* Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
* Providing support within the accounts team
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
* Strong accounts payable experience
* Strong knowledge of computer-based presentation software especially MS Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
* Good time management skills with the ability to turn work around quickly and accurately.
* Ability to work under pressure whilst meeting deadlines.
