Spire Portsmouth Hospital has a rare opportunity for a Clinical Governance Administrator to join our integrated quality governance team on a permanent full-time basis.
The overall purpose of the role is to support the integrated quality governance team function, through provision of administrative support.
The role purpose will be achieved in the following ways:
1. Working under the direction of the Clinical Governance & Risk Manager and in collaboration with other members of the integrated quality governance team.
2. Demonstrating and exemplifying behaviours and attitudes that will support the development of positive and professional working relationships with the hospital managers and colleagues in all hospital teams.
3. Creating and maintaining links with relevant national leads and networks.
4. Managing own workload effectively to meet time and quality expectations.
5. Ensuring own credibility, currency and effectiveness in the role by managing own professional learning and development, in discussion with the Clinical Governance & Risk Manager, as well as undertaking appropriate in-service training when required to do so.
6. Developing a thorough working knowledge of all relevant data collection processes and systems (including DCIQ incident and complaint modules, My Clinical Outcomes, National Joint Registry, British Spinal Registry, British Cosmetic & Implant Registry
7. Always supporting fully the business aims and objectives and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational standards and policies.

Person requirements:
8. A good standard of general education to A-level (or equivalent).
9. Previous administrative roles with exclusive responsibilities.
10. IT literacy and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products.
11. A proactive and resourceful inclination.
12. A problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
13. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to maintain a complex array of working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
14. An ability to manage own workload in the face of competing priorities, and an ability to manage multiple workstreams.
15. High personal standards and quality of work output with outstanding organisational and time-management abilities.
16. A strong work ethic, reliability and an ability to be discreet.
