Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Perform electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
- Install and connect electrical outlets, switches, and fixtures
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electricity
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training
- Valid electrician license or certification
- Proven experience as an electrician in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety procedures
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues
