I’m looking for a reliable person to help me stay organised, keep track and on top of tasks. The role is mostly admin-based — helping manage information and prioritise. I need someone who can listen carefully and impartially, condense and organise lots of information, and assist with planning, prompts and follow-through. Emotional sensitivity, respect, and a supportive attitude are just as important as organisation skills.
Experience with ADHD/Autism/Neurodiversity is preferred. Enabling support is required with organising life admin and correspondence, and also help setting, prioritising, monitoring and managing progress of long- and short-term goals. Support with reassurance around day-to-day living choices and decision making, allowing the client to think aloud and providing reassurance where needed. General support and reassurance around anxieties. Must be willing and able to learn specific needs and be respectful and sensitive. Comfortable with constructive criticism and using it to improve the client/carer dynamic/routine.
Personal specification: Consistent, reliable and punctual; encouraging but firm with good communication; reassuring and sensitive to anxieties; organised in admin and smart technology competent; respect confidentiality and be culturally aware.
Further Information: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS) will have to be obtained for the successful candidate (at employer’s expense).
Training: Where required, such as in Health and Safety matters, practical training and guidance will be arranged and the care worker will be expected to attend.
