Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. UK NMC Qualification
2. Recognised Teaching Qualification
3. Degree/Masters level qualification in Heamatology/Oncology
Desirable criteria
4. 1st Level Degree or working towards
5. Leadership and managment qualification
6. Physical Examination of Adult
7. Non-Medical Prescribing
Experience
Essential criteria
8. Demonstrable post-registration experience, to include recent experience at Band 5 in Haematology/Oncology
9. Teaching Practice and developing staff
10. Research and audit experience
Desirable criteria
11. 6 months experience of administering SACT including haematology chemotherapy regimes
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
12. Proven leadership ability
13. Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative and as part of multi-disciplinary team
14. Extended role skills, IV drug administration, Cannulation and phlebotomy, Administration of SACTnd change management skills including presentation skills.
15. Ability to motivate and lead a team.

20. Computer literacy particularly working with e.g. excel spreadsheets

22. Theoretical and practical knowledge of Haematology/Oncology
23. Conversant with developments related to chemotherapy at national and local levels.
24. Knowledge of key principles of the risk management process
25. Ability to co-ordinate duty rotas, taking into account skill mix requirements and understanding of team dynamics to ensure effective team working.

26. Evidence of knowledge and managing staff through human resourse policies and procedures. Able to undertake performance reviews and manage issues pertaining to performance.
27. Awareness of principles of budgetary management and signatory responsibilities. Evidence of managing complaints.
