Salary range Grade 6 from £26,992 - £28.932 (hourly rate from £15.17 to £16.26 per hour).
37 hours per week for 42 weeks of the year (Term Time plus 4 weeks). Mon, Wed, Thur: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Tue: 8.30am-4.30pm, Fri: 8:00am-3:30pm

Who are we?
Severndale Specialist Academy is a multi-site special school incorporating our Monkmoor campus, provision within a local mainstream secondary school and a purpose built 16-25 year old provision at our local college. We work with young people with special educational needs from within Shropshire and beyond.Our children and young people can access Severndale Specialist Academy from nursery age through to 25 and have a range of learning, physical and mobility difficulties and some students require personal care. Supporting communication and enabling independence is a key focus of our work .
Severndale is a truly unique special school and is one of the largest special schools in the country.We are proud to be able to meet the needs of over 430 young people across all abilities of the SEND spectrum and across three different sites.Severndale is also proud to be part of The Learning Community Trust, a truly inclusive multi academy trust based in Telford.
What is the purpose of the role:
Severndale Academy is looking to appoint an existing excellent practitioner to join our talented team as a Catering tutor working at our 16—25 department which is based at the Futures Campus on London Road.
The person appointed to the role will:
have recognised skills and qualifications in catering
have a food hygiene certificate
have skills and knowledge to teach catering skills to an accredited level
have the ability to organise a catering kitchen to ensure an appropriate environment where students can learn to prepare food
have the ability to prepare and serve meals
have the skills and be willing to work with students between the ages of 16- 25 years with SEND
be required to work with the students to prepare a daily lunchtime meal, planning a rotational weekly menu which provides a range of options to accommodate all dietary requirements.
