Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Crewkerne, Somerset Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum DOE Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm (39 hours/week) Duration: Permanent Start Date: ASAP (subject to interview) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Crewkerne. This is a hands-on, full-time role suited to someone with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge looking to join a collaborative team in a busy production environment. The Job: Carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Troubleshooting faults and performing repairs on electrical and mechanical systems Working with motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, and production machinery Checking, calibrating, and repairing instruments Electrical tasks including lighting, wiring, testing, and alarm systems Supporting continuous improvements and safety compliance Assisting with scheduled maintenance checks and maintaining accurate records Fabricating parts and maintaining stock of spare components Liaising with the production team and ensuring minimal downtime The Requirements: Relevant electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, 18th Edition or NVQ Level 3) Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing/industrial setting Dual-skilled (mechanical/electrical) preferred Able to read and interpret diagrams, manuals, and technical drawings Good understanding of health and safety regulations Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Previous experience in foundry or heavy engineering is desirable but not essential The Benefits: Competitive salary depending on experience Early finish every Friday Long-term career opportunity with a well-established business Supportive and safe working environment On-the-job training and development opportunities Free on-site parking If you're a proactive, hands-on Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge in a secure and growing industry, apply today!
