The Opportunity
This opportunity is located at Torr Works, one of the UKs largest and most recognised quarries and Holcim's flagship super quarry in Somerset. As the Assistant Distribution Manager, youll play a key role in coordinating rail distribution, helping to move millions of tonnes of material that support vital infrastructure projects across the country.
Working within a collaborative, safety-first environment, youll support large-scale operations, people leadership and continuous improvement, while partnering closely with Commercial, Logistics and Supply Chain teams.
With the scale, complexity and visibility of Torr Works, this role offers a unique chance to broaden your operational leadership experience and make a tangible impact within a global organisation.
Who you are
You have a solid understanding of Quarry Regulations and statutory Health & Safety legislation
You bring experience from a similar operational, distribution or logistics management role
You have knowledge of rail logistics and distribution operations
You are experienced in managing contractors, people and operational projects
