Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Care and Support Assistant at our CQC Registered Learning Disability Scheme, Tollemache Respite Service, Claughton.

The role of Senior Care and Support Assistant will include:

Leading a team of Care and Support Assistants and ensuring that customers are being supported in the best way possible
:
Providing personal care and encouraging customers to maximise their independence and personal potential, by building confidence, resilience and self:esteem

Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments as well as managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the health, safety and security of our customers
:
Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
:
Completing supervisions
Skills and experiences:

Previous experience supervising staff is desirable
:
Recent experience of working in a similar role with vulnerable people is necessary
:
NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards is essential
:
Personalised approach to care with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people from varied backgrounds
:
Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong "can:do" attitude
:
Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
