We are seeking a Project Manager in our Eastern Region to work on Flood Defence schemes, Navigation structures, and Highways/Road schemes covering Cambridge, Northampton, Bedfordshire, and South Lincoln.
Main Duties for the Project Manager:
1. Management of site staff, operatives, and sub-contractors.
2. Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments, and Project Management plans.
3. Understand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against budgets.
4. Prepare and monitor programmes of work.
5. Foster good relations and reputation with clients.
6. Manage design coordination.
7. Assess and engage sub-contractors.
8. Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion.
9. Supervise, mentor, and assist in the career development of junior staff.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience with main contractor roles, preferably with flood defence/structures and highways/road schemes.
* Team player with excellent communication and people skills.
* Ability to manage change and delegate.
* Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng) or equivalent.
* Up-to-date SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS card.
