Part time flexible post. Ideal for a student studying towards and early Years or teaching qualification. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Assistant to join our nurturing environment in our Ofsted Outstanding setting in Leeds16. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of children, ensuring their well-being and development while fostering a love for learning.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
* Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Communicate effectively with children, encouraging positive interactions and helping them develop social skills.
* Maintain a clean and organised environment, including the nursery area and play spaces.
* Support children in their daily routines, including personal hygiene and meal times.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld Collaborate with lead educators to manage classroom behaviour and implement educational programmes.
* Engage in activities that stimulate children's creativity and curiosity through play-based learning.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* A background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children and colleagues.
* A passion for childcare, along with the ability to drive engagement through fun and educational experiences.
* DBS checks will be undertaken by the employer if you do not hold one .
