WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Hotel Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our property through proactive sales and strategic marketing initiatives. This role is weighted 60% towards proactive sales, focusing on identifying and developing new business opportunities across corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and leisure markets. The Business Development Manager will build strong relationships with key clients, negotiate contracts, and actively drive revenue growth.The remaining 40% of the role will support marketing efforts, working closely with stakeholders to design and execute campaigns that enhance brand visibility, promote special offers, and strengthen market positioning.Responsibilities include overseeing digital marketing activities, managing content for social media through our third party agency and leading promotional events
THE DUTIES
* Identify and target potential clients and business opportunities to increase bookings for rooms, events, and other hotel services.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators, and event planners.
* Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the hotel's customer base.
* Analyse market trends, competitor activities to inform business strategy.
* Develop partnerships with local businesses, tourist boards, and event organisers to drive referrals and collaborations.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
* Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the hotel brand.
* Lead a small team consisting of a Sales Manager and Marketing Coordinator.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
* Strong network of corporate and travel industry contacts is a plus.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* You are able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and confident in making important decisions.
* Experience in managing & leading a team.
