Role Overview
As a Business Analyst in the Social Care and Education Project Management Office, you will support Business Change Commissioning Managers, other Business Analysts and staff in delivering improvements to existing systems and services across Leicester. The role is hybrid, with the expectation of working from a city council office at least twice a week, based at Halford House, and requiring occasional travel around the city.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development of business cases and implementation plans, identifying and recommending risks, issues, benefits and requirements.
* Investigate business functions, processes, information flows and data structures with internal stakeholders and external partners.
* Apply business improvement tools and systematic analysis techniques to undertake thorough analysis.
* Attend and often chair meetings to present issues and solutions.
* Specify and document business requirements, ensuring traceability back to source and challenge positively when required.
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven track record of working on programmes and projects, with experience of business process analysis and redesign to deliver successful improvements.
• Strong communication skills, confident in liaising with people, articulating needs, and presenting complex information to mixed level audiences.
• Highly organised, able to work under pressure whilst remaining flexible.
• Systematic and analytical problem‑solving skills, delivering effective, practical and creative solutions to introduce positive change.
