The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic Clinical Skills Teaching Fellow to support the education and development of nursing students for their Exeter Campus and working closely with module leads and clinical skills teams across all campuses. You will be passionate about clinical education, committed to student success, and able to use innovative teaching approaches to enhance learning and professional development

About the role

The role focuses on delivering high-quality clinical skills teaching, helping students develop practical competencies, and contributing to an engaging learning environment as well as contributing the the review development of modules, suppporting Personal Students and undertaking an Academic Assessor role for named students.

You will:

* Adapt and deliver research-informed teaching of the highest quality across a range of programmes and modules to all levels, through tutorials, practical and seminars.
* Teach and supervise students in clinical simulation, including where appropriate in clinical or professional practice.
* Work as a team leader and team member, developing productive relationships with colleagues and supporting on delivery of modules, programmes and activities where appropriate.

Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home.

Due to the nature of this role, a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be required.

There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Please refer to the job description for further information.

What we’re looking for

* Masters degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree.
* Recognised HE teaching qualification or appropriate HEA fellowship. (or willingness to undertake during first 12 months of employment)
* Significant experience in caring for Adults in a clinical setting.
* Experience of delivering high quality, research informed teaching within the Higher Education Institution or in an NHS setting.
* The ability to engage students and motivate and inspire them to perform at their best

You must currently be registered with the following registration board: The Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
