The role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Crematorium Operative.
Standard core hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work between Monday and Saturday, within the hours of 06:00 to 20:00.
You’ll be an integral part of the team, taking an active role in dealing with members of the public, clients and third parties ensuring all aspects of day-to-day activities at the Crematorium run smoothly. This role can be physically demanding and will involve manual handling and using machinery and equipment.

Carrying out the cremation of the deceased in accordance with statutory requirements safely and operating appropriate equipment in line with set guidelines and training.Arranging the Service Hall and other areas for services, ensuring they are prepared to the highest standard possible in accordance with pre-agreed arrangements.Attending and overseeing services and liaising with Funeral Directors, Clergy/Celebrants, the bereaved and members of the public before, during and after services.Ensuring the identification, storage, and final disposal of Ashes are undertaken and documented appropriately.Supporting the wider team to ensure the smooth running of every aspect of operations on site, including undertaking basic care, cleaning and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and ancillary equipment.Being proactive in community activities to promote the Crematorium and End of life services.What we're looking for...
