Finance Operations Assistant

Department: Finance

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Brighton

Reporting To: Finance Operations Controller

Compensation: £26,300 - £30,900 / year


Description

* Who we’re looking for: We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our growing Finance team. Excellent communication skills are essential as this role involves supporting the team, the wider business, and our customers.
* The challenge: Our Finance team prides itself on excellence and providing the best service to customers, suppliers, and other teams at Tillo.
* Where you’ll work: This role will be based in our Hove office 2 days a week.

Day-to-day responsibilities

The Finance Assistant will play a key role in building a finance team that is operationally fit for a fast-growing FinTech company, focusing on excellence in finance and service delivery.


Main duties include:

* Producing sales invoices and managing credit control for key client accounts
* Onboarding new customers and resolving queries
* Preparing bank and supplier reconciliations
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records
* Assisting in month-end accounting entries
* Supporting the Finance Manager in ad hoc projects and reporting


Who we’re looking for

Essential:

* Degree qualification or relevant experience in finance
* Customer-focused with excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Flexible working approach with a proactive attitude
* Committed to personal and team development

Desirable but not essential:

* Studying for an accountancy qualification
* Problem-solving skills
* Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas
