Are you ready to take the next step in your therapy career within the NHS? Trafford General Hospital’s Inpatient Neuro Rehabilitation Unit is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 4 Rehabilitation Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team.
You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech and Language Therapists, supporting a diverse group of patients recovering from neurological injuries such as brain or spinal cord injuries. We offer excellent supervision, ongoing training, and a supportive environment to help you develop your skills and progress in your career.

Responsibilities
* Deliver supervised therapy interventions and support assessments and treatments for patients with neurological conditions.
* Implement treatment plans, including exercise and mobility programmes, personal and domestic daily living activities, and cognitive, speech, and swallowing rehabilitation.
* Progress personalised interventions based on individual patient goals and needs during therapy sessions.
* Lead or assist with group activities on the ward and support community activities, such as access or home assessment visits.
* Communicate confidently and flexibly, adapting to patients’ diverse needs, including those with cognitive challenges.
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
* Carry out regular moving and handling of patients as part of daily duties.
* Undertake administrative tasks, including ordering equipment, recording statistics, and managing stock items.
* Maintain accurate electronic records and demonstrate basic IT proficiency.
* Work as part of a 6‑day rota; being a car driver is advantageous for fulfilling all aspects of the role.
* Receive competency‑based training to develop the necessary skills for the position.
