About the Role:
We are excited to be working with one of Cambridgeshire's most well-respected, leading Security Companies. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join their team and manage the day-to-day financial transactions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing financial reports to support informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
· Record daily financial transactions accurately and timely.
· Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
· Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll.
· Manage accounts payable and receivable, including sending and collecting invoices.
· Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Track and monitor budgets and expenses.
· VAT Returns
· Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
· Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices.
· Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
· Working closely with the Accountants.
Desired Skills:
· Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Line 50).
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
