We require an Accredited Police Station Representative to join our criminal defence team, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients detained at police stations. The successful candidate will attend interviews under caution, advise clients on their rights and options, and ensure that all procedures are conducted fairly in accordance with PACE and other relevant legislation.
In addition to police station attendances, the role will also involve carrying out daily office work, including client correspondence, file management, preparation of case papers, and general administrative duties to support the wider team.
Key responsibilities will include advising clients from the point of arrest, attending and representing them during police interviews, liaising effectively with police and custody staff, and maintaining accurate case records. Applicants must hold full police station accreditation, demonstrate excellent communication and advocacy skills, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role in safeguarding clients' rights while gaining valuable experience across both police station and office-based criminal defence work.
