Join a Growing Radiography Team at a Critical Time for Workforce Development
The University of Lincoln is proud to expand its pre-registration Allied Health Professions portfolio with the launch of the new BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme, started in September 2024. We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography to join our dynamic and supportive academic team as we build this innovative new programme.
Developed in close partnership with local NHS trusts, the programme is designed to address the urgent workforce needs across the East Midlands.
The Role
As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography, you will:
* Contribute to teaching, learning and assessment across the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography curriculum
* Play a key role in module leadership, curriculum development and ongoing programme enhancement
* Support students in both academic and pastoral capacities across all years of study
* Work closely with clinical placement providers to ensure the quality and relevance of the student learning experience
* Contribute to interprofessional learning alongside colleagues in Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy
Depending on your experience and level of appointment, you may also contribute to academic leadership and school-wide initiatives, and be supported in the development of your research or scholarly activity.
Our Environment
You will be based in the Sarah Swift Building, our purpose-built facility for health and social care education. This includes an immersive VR suite with Virtual Medical Coaching software designed to support skills development and simulation-based learning for diagnostic radiography students.
You will be joining a School with a growing reputation for innovative teaching, research engagement, and strong clinical partnerships. Our Allied Health Professions provision launched in 2018 and continues to expand, supporting Lincolnshire’s strategic health and care workforce needs.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a registered diagnostic radiographer with experience in teaching, clinical education, or advanced practice. You should bring strong communication and organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to high-quality education that meets both student and service expectations.
Experience in simulation-based teaching, interprofessional learning, curriculum development, or PSRB-aligned programme delivery will be an asset. For Senior Lecturer appointments, we would expect prior experience in module leadership, course development, and/or research or scholarly activity.
What We Offer
* 35 days annual leave plus 14 university closure and bank holiday days (pro rata)
* Hybrid working to support flexibility
* Protected time for scholarly activity and academic development
* Full support and funding to complete a PGCert in Health Professions Education (if required)
