The Lobster Pot is an Award-Winning family-run business, located in the stunning Church Bay on the north-west coast of the Isle of Anglesey. With our global network increasing and our drive to put The Lobster Pot firmly on the map, we feel the time is right to look for the right person to join and complement our small core team to help take us to the next level.

About you

We are looking for someone that will, not only bring fresh eyes to our back-office operation to improve our day-to-day internal function, but you will also be a natural project manager, taking ownership of operations.. You will bring professionalism and energy to everything you do, whilst working well to maintain a cohesive team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as an operation manager, production manager or previous experience in a management function around logistics of live shellfish or perishable products.

You will have a 'hands on' approach with the ability to identify new opportunities, recognising the possibilities and potential, always with the bigger picture in mind. This role would suit someone who works well with others, builds good working relationships in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will be I.T proficient and willing to learn our inhouse I.T system, becoming a super-user over time, working effectively alongside our existing team.

You will adapt easily to situations and be unphased by the sometimes-shifting parameters we work within; not only in an operational capacity, but also when working alongside our most demanding colleague, Mother Nature, who never fails to keep us firmly on our toes

Key skills

· Highly proficient with all Microsoft packages

· Experience of Microsoft Business Central & Jet Reporting is desirable.

· Excellent analytical and practical problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment

· Good written & numerical skills

· The ability to speak French would be an advantage As would an HGV licence.

· Due to the remoteness of our office location you will need your own vehicle

The Role

This is a newly created position and there is opportunity for the successful candidate to develop and carve out an exciting and rewarding role for themselves, capitalising on their previous experience and expertise.

The successful candidate will build good working relationships and become proficient in all aspects of our operation and the requirements of a global 'live' produce export business.

Based on site at our head office in Church Bay, this role is offered on a full-time basis around a 40hr working week, with seasonal variations.
