Job Description

At Sponge, our Client Managers are strategic partners, growth drivers, and trusted advisors to some of the world’s most recognisable brands. You’ll be expected to shape your client brand portfolio through a consultative approach; this is not passive account management. You’ll balance intelligent account development with a sharp eye for new business. That means identifying and landing new logo opportunities while expanding and deepening existing client relationships. You’ll thrive in ambiguity, be comfortable with autonomy, and bring a strong point of view into every conversation.

Success in this role is measured not only by revenue, but by your ability to influence, adapt, and build lasting client partnerships built on trust and strategic value.

* Is uncomfortable navigating senior stakeholder relationships or large, matrixed organisations.
* Avoids outbound engagement or isn’t motivated by new business.
* Values individual success rather than team culture or struggles to celebrate others’ success.
* Struggles to flex between strategic planning and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.

What You’ll Bring

* A strong track record of revenue growth in a consultative sales or account management role.
* Experience working with global enterprise clients, ideally in an agency or professional services context.
* Comfort engaging with senior stakeholders (up to C-suite) in complex, non-linear buying cycles.
* A natural ability to blend commercial acumen with creative problem-solving.
* Fluency in account planning, pipeline building, and value-led storytelling.
* A collaborative spirit. Energised by shared wins, always willing to support colleagues, and motivated by the success of the wider team.
* A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. Comfortable with opening as well as growing accounts.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

* Own and expand strategic client relationships, with a focus on long-term value creation.
* Design and deliver intelligent account plans grounded in insight and measurable Impact.
* Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets through a mix of expansion, cross-sell, and new logo opportunities.
* Actively contribute to Sponge’s new business efforts—leading pursuits, opening doors, and building early- stage trust.
* Act as a trusted advisor. Bringing market knowledge, innovation, and a challenger mindset to every interaction.
* Lead client relationships through production cycles. You protect commercial interests while championing client objectives and upholding Sponge’s standards across delivery.
