Mechanical Engineer

Duration: 3-6 Month Contract
Rate: £450-£500 per day

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to support a busy engineering team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical design experience and a working understanding of Revit (2D & 3D) to support coordination and interface with other disciplines.
Role Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
* Review and interpret Revit (2D & 3D) models and drawings for coordination purposes.
* Interface with BIM teams and understand Revit workflows.
* Support design reviews, prototyping, testing, and design validation activities.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, and quality.
* Assist with technical problem‑solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
* Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proven mechanical design experience.
* Working knowledge of Revit (2D & 3D) to understand model/drawing intent and coordinate design activities (not for production).
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
* High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
