The post holder will hold an HCPC paramedic registration. They will bring their expertise as a clinical practitioner and their experience in education delivery to develop and assess education and development needs, and to design, develop, and deliver evidence-based innovative education and training methods and packages as part of the Education Centre for Excellence.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of a Level 3 Teaching qualification or significant experience in education and training. There will be opportunities to develop and enroll onto a Level 5 or 6 programme to enhance knowledge and support learners within education.
The post requires providing end-to-end formal assessment of all academic programmes (CAVA) and ensuring that EFSA and all accrediting bodies' requirements are fully met and managed. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain the CAVA qualification while in post.
The role involves developing and delivering current programmes, exploring potential developments in flexible education delivery and clinical simulation, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The post may also involve collaboration with commercial training as dictated by service demand.
Additional responsibilities include providing educational and clinical advice to students and staff, undertaking operational duties such as observations and practice assessments, supporting university modules, developing learning materials, assisting in programme design and CPD development, and working towards gaining associate lecturer status with HE providers. The post also involves managing simulation exercises and OSCEs for students in line with awarding body requirements.
The role requires working on a flexible six-day roster, attracting USH when accrued.
