Job Title: Registered Manager (Care Services) Salary: £39,000 – £42,500 per annum Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week (flexible as needed) Location: Hybrid – split between Head Office and services across York & Tadcaster Overview: This is a brilliant opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to oversee care services across multiple locations. The role focuses on compliance, quality governance, and leadership — supporting both frontline delivery and strategic improvements. You’ll work closely with the Head of Care and wider leadership team to ensure the services are CQC-compliant, person-centred, and continuously improving. Key Responsibilities: Act as the Registered Manager across multiple care services. Line-manage 3 Care Managers and support them in managing their respective teams. Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation (e.g. MCA, Safeguarding, Health & Safety). Lead service audits, review documentation, and oversee tenant care plans and risk assessments. Submit CQC notifications and ensure records are robust, accurate, and inspection-ready. Participate in incident and complaint investigations and take the lead when required. Work alongside HR to support safer recruitment and regulation 18/19 compliance. Drive improvement by capturing feedback from service users, families, and staff. Maintain effective working relationships with external professionals, commissioners, and clinical teams. Represent the service at external forums, regional networks, and contract reviews. Management Duties: Line manage 3 Care Managers, holding them accountable for performance, compliance, and team leadership. Conduct regular supervisions and annual appraisals for direct reports. Support Care Managers with difficult decisions, staffing concerns, and service issues. Provide leadership across all care teams and promote a strong, values-led culture. Step in for the Head of Care when needed and support strategic planning. Additional Responsibilities: Monitor and contribute to financial performance of the services. Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours support. Attend regular leadership and governance meetings. Use your investigative and forensic auditing skills to track service performance. Drive continuous improvement through feedback, analysis, and best practice. What We're Looking For: Experienced manager in adult social care (preferably multi-site or senior level). In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and social care legislation. Strong leadership and team development skills. Comfortable with audits, reporting, investigations, and strategic delivery.
