Lecturer in English
Salary: £27,702 - £41,892 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Suffolk
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic English Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching to 16+ learners re-sitting their English GCSE or completing Functional Skills qualifications.

Role Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and creative lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English to learners aged 16+.
* Teach part-time adult learners through evening classes as required.
* Plan, deliver, and assess lessons that inspire confidence and achievement.
* Support learners in achieving a minimum of grade 4 at GCSE level.
* Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to maximise success.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance curriculum design.
Essential Requirements
* Degree in English or related subject, or Level 5 qualification in teaching English.
* Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to obtain one.
* Experience delivering English at GCSE and/or Functional Skills level.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Commitment to inclusive, learner-focused education.
* Flexibility to work across multiple campuses.
