The Role
As a Plant, Tool and Equipment Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.
Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will join a new team helping to effectively repair and manage on-site owned plant, tools, and equipment for the MEH Alliance.
Day-to-day, you’ll oversee and complete reactive and planned maintenance for all plant, tools, and equipment (PTE) procured by the MEH Alliance on the HPC project.
* Effectively repair and manage on-site owned plant, tools, and equipment for the MEH Alliance.
* Provide familiarisation to teams requiring the use of PTE and ensure correct use and standards are maintained.
* Offer feedback on improvements for better management of PTE and advise on better products if effective solutions are found.
This position involves manual work, including lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods.
This role is full-time, 38 hours per week, based on-site at Hinkley Point C.
Essential 3+ years’ experience as a Plant, Tool and Equipment Technician:
* Experience maintaining small tools and plant, including repair.
* Electrical and mechanical knowledge for larger plant items.
* Understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
* Knowledge of LEV, Welding, calibration data, survey equipment, and IT systems.
Qualifications for the Plant, Tool and Equipment Technician (any one of the below):
* Level 3 Diploma - Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Q) (Light Vehicles)
* Level 2 Progression Award in Automotive Servicing & Repair - Light Vehicle Maintenance Certificate
* Level 3 Apprenticeship Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician
* NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plant Maintenance
* Level 3 Certificate in Mechatronics Technician
CCNSG safety passport required prior to starting.
Security Clearance
