Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver in Beeston, Sandy, to join a busy and respected timber distribution team. This is a full-time opportunity offering stability, training, and a supportive working environment—ideal for a confident, professional driver looking to build a long-term position in the timber industry.
Location: Beeston, Sandy
Salary: £18.00-£19.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver timber products safely and efficiently to trade sites with time-critical schedules.
2. Secure loads using straps, edge protectors, and industry-standard safety methods.
3. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, representing the company in a positive light.
4. Conduct daily vehicle checks, complete accurate paperwork, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
5. Carry out manual handling when required (training provided).
Essential Skills & Experience
6. Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
7. CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
8. Confident handling of strapped or irregular loads.
9. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
10. Experience delivering timber, flatbed loads, or construction materials preferred but not essential.
