Senior Residential Children's Home Support Worker

Full-time – 42 hours per week including sleep‑ins and waking nights (where required)
Salary
Starting from £30,685.20 (depending on experience)

Requirements
* Experience leading and supervising a team
* Experience in residential childcare
* Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
* A passion for working with children and young people
* Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and responsibilities
* Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations
* Excellent communication skills
* Full driving licence
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
* A strong commitment to putting the needs of children, young people and their families first
Key Responsibilities
* Take a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement
* Provide guidance and support to support workers
* Supervise designated staff members and document this appropriately
* Raise any concerns with the Registered Manager
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
* Driving licence and access to a car
* Right to work in the UK (our client is not able to offer sponsorship)
* 1 year of experience working with children
* Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare
Preferred:
* 1 year experience in a children's home environment
