This apprenticeship provides a fantastic foundation for someone looking to start a career in data, business development, or sales support. In this role, you will help generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, data cleansing, and proactive research. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our CRM data is accurate and current, and that potential leads are effectively identified for the sales team to pursue. As part of your employment, you will also be enrolled on QA’s Data Essentials Level 3 Apprenticeship, giving you valuable skills in data management, digital tools, analysis, and business communication—all while earning and learning on the job. Responsibilities: Conduct outbound telephone calls to verify and update business contact data. Cleanse and maintain customer information within our CRM and Microsoft Excel. Research new business leads using the internet, LinkedIn, and other online tools. Represent UYR professionally in verbal and written communications. Assist the sales team by providing qualified leads and opportunities. Support the marketing team by researching data for campaigns and following up on outreach. Take ownership of your workload and meet individual performance targets. Contribute to team meetings and share insights gained through your research. This qualification will provide you with practical knowledge and skills in: Data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Data tools and software. Data security and compliance. Communicating data insights to stakeholders. Desirable skills: Strong communication and questioning skills. Excellent attention to detail. Confident using Microsoft Excel and comfortable with learning CRM systems. A proactive approach to researching information and identifying sales opportunities. Good organisational and time management skills. Comfortable making phone calls and engaging with professionals. A keen interest in data, sales, or marketing. Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, supportive environment. Entry requirements: 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
