As an Account Director, you will build upon your current, comprehensive knowledge of the regional and local healthcare environments, including the latest policy and industry developments. You will develop your leadership skills through always taking a front foot with your account teams, ensuring delivery of integrated communications programmes to an extremely high level, via support and guidance of your well‑run and motivated teams.

Under the guidance of the senior team, you will have a hands‑on approach in managing client relationships and delivering strategic and well‑thought‑out communications programmes that are based on expert industry specific knowledge and meet client expectations and objectives.

You will also take a proactive role in new business development and the growth of the agency, as well as people management and team development responsibilities. Given Twist Health is a lean and nimble agency, you will take full advantage of the opportunities that come along with being a pioneering team member for the agency.

Key Responsibilities

* Campaign Planning, Development & Management: You will build creative and innovative healthcare communication strategies which fully reflect client objectives, whilst ensuring that you are following and promoting the use of best practice and agency systems/processes to guarantee that high standards of quality, results and profitability are achieved.
* Client Relationships: You will develop and maintain strong client relationships across multiple accounts with members of the Marketing, Medical and Regulatory teams. For your direct clients you will continuously proactively assert yourself as a key point of contact across all critical elements of programming.
* Account Profitability: You will maintain account profitability through effective monitoring of service levels, undertaking regular time analysis and managing direct costs to be recovered promptly and in accordance with company policies.
* Revenue Management: You will ensure that portfolio revenue targets are identified and delivered against, with support of the senior team as appropriate.
* Networking & Business Development: You will regularly represent Twist Health at healthcare communications industry events and awards to help build both your personal and our agency profile, while always maintaining a valuable portfolio of industry contacts to leverage with clients and for business development purposes. You will also assist the senior team in effectively managing new business leads from qualification through to conversion.
* Presentation & Facilitation: You will be an active contributor to the development of the pitch process and a confident and effective presenter in pitch meetings. You will have excellent facilitation skills to support creative sessions including strategic and tactical brainstorms, message development and content creation.
* Line Management: Once the team further builds, you will have responsibility for line management of assigned team members, through effective management of their development and progression within the agency. Motivating, supporting and developing team members to deliver client results across accounts will be continuously expected from you.
* Team Development: You will ensure the appropriate time and resources are taken on a regular basis to invest in the development of team members and their understanding of the healthcare communications landscape and Twist Health’s culture and vision.
* Agency Development: You will proactively contribute to the day‑to‑day management of the business through representation on the appropriate teams and forums. In addition, recognising we are a new business, you will play a key role in shaping our management practices, as well as how we market Twist Health externally.


Experience and Skills Required

* A true passion for the healthcare industry, with an outstanding, in‑depth knowledge of regional and local healthcare environments
* Experience of managing large healthcare communications accounts for blue‑chip companies
* Ambitious, creative, curious and energetic, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* A team player, someone who is keen to mentor and guide staff and who will always be respectful and conscientious with co‑workers
* A talented networker, with excellent industry contacts
* Excellent client relationship builder
* Organised and pays close attention to detail
* Able to work under pressure and a confident communicator
* Able to produce work to a consistently high standard
* Experience of line managing, coaching and developing a small team
* A clear entrepreneurial spirit, always considering how we can further strengthen and grow our business.


Reporting Structure

This role reports into the Senior Account Director.
