Job Summary:
Crystal Care Healthcare Agency is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality care and support to clients across a range of healthcare settings. As an Agency Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting the dignity, independence, and wellbeing of service users while delivering person-centred care in accordance with care plans, organisational policies, and industry best practices.
Pay Rates:
Health Care Assistants - £12.80 per hour
Registered Nurses - £22.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist service users with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Support clients with eating, drinking, and nutritional requirements
- Monitor and report changes in service users' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
- Assist with moving and handling activities in accordance with training and health and safety regulations
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
- Maintain accurate records and complete documentation as required
- Support individuals with daily living activities and encourage independence wherever possible
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for service users
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and report any concerns immediately
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, colleagues, and family members to provide excellent care
- Respect the dignity, privacy, choices, and rights of all service users
Essential Requirements:
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 months paid healthcare experience gained within the UK. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
- Minimum of 3 months paid experience in a healthcare or care setting within the UK
- Previous experience in a care home, nursing home, supported living, hospital, or domiciliary care environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and caring approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and person-centred care principles
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow care plans
- Flexible and reliable with the ability to work various shifts, including weekends and nights
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable Qualifications:
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Moving and Handling Training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Training
- Medication Awareness Training
- Safeguarding Adults Training
- Infection Prevention and Control Training
