Greensleeves Care is looking for a results‑driven Business Development Manager to grow occupancy across a cluster of care homes in Cambridgeshire.
This is a hands‑on, commercially focused role where success is measured by increased enquiries, strong local partnerships, and filled beds.
What will you do?
You’ll take ownership of lead generation activity, working closely with Home Managers and Family Liaison Managers to deliver sustained occupancy growth.
Key responsibilities:
* Build and manage local referral networks (hospitals, GPs, social workers, community groups)
* Drive community engagement - events, open days, local outreach
* Develop relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers
* Maximise enquiry generation
* Use local market insight to identify opportunities and competition
Marketing & Growth
You’ll work alongside the central marketing team and home teams to:
* Optimise online presence (care home listings, SEO, lead platforms)
* Leverage digital marketing channels (Google, social media, email)
* Ensure strong local brand visibility
* Turn marketing activity into real enquiries and admissions
* Broaden the portfolio of new relationships the home can nurture
* Support the sales team to increase showarounds and drive sales
But this role is primarily about being in the market, not behind a desk!
About You
* Proven experience in business development, sales, market, or occupancy growth (care sector highly desirable, considered purchase sector essential)
* Strong track record of relationship building and influencing locally
* Commercial mindset with a focus on results
* Confident, proactive, and highly organised
* Understanding of local marketing opportunities, particularly offline
